品位分化与空间区隔:下层青年网络表演的社会意涵——对快手用户群体的研究

Taste Differentiation and Space Segregation: Social Implications of the Network Self-Presentation of Subaltern Youths

本文以文化区隔与下层文化生产等理论观点为视角,探究快手成为下层青年聚集的网络空间背后的制度、阶层和资本等影响因素。快手短视频的文化风格促成了其用户的群体认同,形成了独特的具有抗争意味的文化。快手用户创造的文化形式冲击了主流文化,二者之间产生了持久的冲突,并形成了以文化品位为标志的阶层符号边界。网络的出现和发展构建了新的社会空间,不同群体在网络空间中展演和再生产各自所属阶层的品位和文化,因而创造了新的社会区隔形式。媒介与文化实践是当代中国下层身份建构的不可分割的一部分,本文倡导在研究网络文化时引入阶层视角,关注网络与文化实践如何参与塑造弱势群体的下层意识。

From the perspective of cultural distinction and subaltern culture production,this paper explores institution,class,capital,and other factors contributing to the gathering of subaltern youth on Kuaishou. The typical performances and narrative styles in short videos on Kuaishou have formed a unique subaltern culture of resistance;on the other hand,the symbolic boundaries between the underclass and other classes come into being as a result of cyberspace segregation,whose underlying logic is cultural capital. Therefore,the emergence and development of the Internet actually have created a new social space where different netizens show and reproduce class-oriented tastes and cultures and finally generate a new form of social distinction. Media and cultural practices are inseparable parts of the construction of the subaltern identity in contemporary China. This paper advocates the introduction of a class perspective in the study of network culture,focusing on how network and cultural practices participate in shaping the subaltern consciousness of disadvantaged groups.
