Discussion on the Evaluation of Traditional Chinese Medicine Literature with Meta-analysis

中医在现代化的进程中,引入了Meta分析方法,Meta分析方法是循证医学的延续,现代医学的研究方式,主要以抽象思维为主导,注重定量分析,以统计学思想为主要特征,把人与自然割离,注重标准化。中医学与中国古代哲学一脉相承,以气一元论、阴阳五行为哲学基础,以意象思维为主导,以整体观念、辨证论治为特征,注重人与自然的结合,组方加减化裁灵活多变;中医学与Meta分析从文化背景到思维方式、理论特征、方法学上均存在着天然的差异,Meta分析方法在中医运用中也存在诸多问题,利用Meta分析方法对中医药文献进行评价并不合适。

In the process of modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), meta-analysis is introduced, which is a method as the continuation of evidence-based medicine and the research method of modern medicine. It is mainly based on abstract thinking, focusing on quantitative analysis, taking statistical thinking as the main feature, separating human from nature, and focusing on standardization. TCM and ancient Chinese philosophy are in the same line. They are based on the philosophy of Qi monism, Yin-Yang and five behaviors, guided by image thinking, characterized by holistic concept and syndrome differentiation and treatment. They pay attention to the combination of human and nature, and the composition is flexible and changeable. There are natural differences between TCM and meta-analysis from cultural background to thinking mode, from theoretical characteristics to methodology. There many problems in the application of meta-analysis in TCM, so it is not appropriate to use meta-analysis to evaluate the literature of TCM.
