应用型本科院校英语专业特色课程建设研究——以英语专业“西方旅行文学选读”课程为例

Characteristic Courses in Application-oriented Universities——A Case Study of Selected Reading of Western Travel Literature Course

应用型本科院校的办学定位是为地方社会经济发展培养高素质应用人才,特色课程是实现这一教学目标的支撑点和落脚点。以翻转课堂在"西方旅行文学作品选读"课程教学中的实际应用为例,从提升审美体验、导入人文知识、培养思辨能力这三个文学作品的赏析层面探讨了应用型本科院校英美文学特色课程的教学实践与开发建设。最后,建议从坚持实用课程观、优化教学方法和教学内容、培养学生自主学习能力、开展个性化课堂评价、建立新型师生关系、编写具有学科和专业特色的校本教材等方面开发与建设应用型本科院校英语专业特色课程。

The orientation of application-oriented universities is to cultivate high-quality application talents for local social and economic development,and the characteristic curriculum is the support and foothold to realize this teaching goal.To take the practical application of flipping the classroom in the western travel literature courses teaching as an example,the paper discusses the characteristics of English and American literature teaching practice and the development and construction of the course from importing humanities knowledge,enhancing the aesthetic experience and cultivating critical thinking.Finally,this paper puts forward some thoughts and suggestions on the development and construction of English-major characteristic courses in application-oriented universities from the following four aspects:optimization of teaching method and teaching content,enhancing the humanistic quality of general education courses,combining with the local economic construction and social development and setting up top-quality courses.
