女大学生的工作和家庭价值取向

A Survey on Female College Students’ Values in Work and Family

对华东地区588名女大学生的工作和家庭价值取向进行调查,结果表明:女大学生毕业后更愿意攻读研究生而非自主创业,有明确职业规划者较少;职业目标中排在前列的是薪酬、工作家庭平衡、人际关系和自我实现,而职业声望、地位、权力和社会价值等排名相对靠后;重视父母安康、婚姻美满、与家人一起生活及孩子优秀,反对传统家庭分工模式,性别意识较为平等;倾向于将工作领域与家庭领域分开,应对工作与家庭冲突相对理性。总体上,女大学生看重家庭生活,也重视职业发展。女大学生的工作和家庭价值取向体现了传统与现代之间的张力,是社会转型期人们价值观嬗变的缩影。

A questionnaire has been conducted amongst 558 female college students in eastern part of China to find out their values in work and family.The findings show that female graduates are willing to continue their academic studies for master or doctorate degree instead of being self-employed.A small number of respondents are found to have had clear career plans.The considerations of salaries,a balance between work and family,interpersonal relations and self-realization come out top of the list in their career objectives.Meanwhile,they are inclined to show less attention to the expectations,social status,privileges and social recognitions brought by personal work.College graduates polled have attached more importance to their parents’health,marital harmony,children’s sound performance in academic studies,and sufficient time living together with family members.They are opposed to traditional division of family chores between husbands and wives,supporting the practice of gender equality.In addition,they tend to draw a clear line between work and family affairs and will become sensible when conflicts arise from two sides.In short,female college students value both family life and career development.
