Student subsidy is the most important work for college students. Under the background of big data, the development of information network technology provides new opportunities for the innovation of university subsidy work. The characteristics of big data, such as truthfulness, efficiency, intelligence and accuracy, can effectively identify the poverty situation and degree of students with financial difficulties and promote the precise help to poor students. Based on the current situation of university student aid work, this paper analyses the value of big data to university student aid work and puts forward the specific path of innovation of university student aid work under the background of big data.
