Langston Hughes is hailed as the most attractive poet in African American literature.His poems are full of African American national culture and bear distinct national characteristics.Hughes devoted his life to exploring and promoting African American culture.He hoped to awaken the identity of his compatriots through his poetry with ethnic culture aesthetics and pursue the right to equality and freedom.This paper attempts to interpret the national characteristics in Langston Hughes’poetry from the perspective of the national culture.
