When watching a horror movie, the audience often produces strong physiological phenomena and triggers a certain degree of tension and anxiety, irritability and fear. When the audience knows that they are safe, they still have such a strong fear and emotional response to the terrible plots and the fate of characters on the screen. What is the core of these fear emotions? What is the emotional transformation after fear? This article uses the cognitive motivation theory of cognitive behavioral psychology and the Pavlov effect in evolutionary psychology to conduct two cross-over analyses of fear emotions and explore the causes of fear emotion among the audience.Based on these analyses, this article builds the fear emotion that shapes the third crossing-constructing the cognitive emotion model of horror.
