摘要
无论是依循学术史的内在路径,还是基于现实意义探讨的需要,市镇与农村关系问题都是江南市镇研究的重要课题之一。清代至民国年间,位于上海县城西面的法华地区,市镇与乡村的关系受到来自新旧教育变迁所引发的文化位势、空间功能与权力结构的强烈形塑,呈现出不同于"城乡二分法"或者"城乡连续体"的变异,使得这一地区从乡土文明到都市文明的地域整合进程呈现较为复杂的历史图景。
The relation of urban and rural areas matters to the study in the history of Jiangnan towns.Exploring the history of Fahua Town situated in the west of Shanghai in Qing and the Republican China,the present paper challenges the established ideas such as the urban-rural dichotomy by revealing the role that education played in the local society and the consequent changes taking place in the structure of power.
