瑞恩•拉巴尔,美国陶艺家.1975年出生于蒙大拿州,在一个有着学术背景的家庭中长大.父亲是律师.母亲是博物馆馆长。他很早就接触过泥土.最喜欢的童年时光是在后院泥地挖洞.他总是对他的家人与朋友说他正在挖掘通向中国之路。他在华盛顿州的贡扎加大学获得了生物学和艺术学位。1999年搬到了蒙大拿州的海伦娜.并建立了_个工作室。他曾在阿奇.布莱基金会(Archie Bray Foundation)担任常驻艺术家。

LaBar's creations embody qualities of thinness(shou),openness(tou),perforations(lou),and wrinkling(zhou).His work contains the vital energy of heaven and carth.The works are material manifestations of the artist's conection to the sub conscious.‘"Throwing on the wheel is a form of active meditation.My ego becomes suspended and I act as muse.Perhaps answers to the greater questions will come through and manifest themselves into the parts 1 make.
