Loss and Reconstruction of Spiritual Home——Lady Chatterley’s Lover from the Perspective of Ecological Criticism

精神家园是人类理想的精神栖息地,是维系人类生活的内核,是人类能找到自我的地方。劳伦斯小说《查泰莱夫人的情人》中张扬的生态理想,实际上是对人自然本性的推崇,是对一种合乎生态规律的生活方式的倡导,凸显工业文明下被异化的人类对理想精神家园的向往,文本从克利福德、梅勒斯与查泰莱夫人的视角呈现了战后自然环境与人的精神状态:人类心灵受到重度创伤,重构人类的理想家园迫在眉睫,尽管重构充满了不确定因素,却是人类借以反思自我与自然之关系的参照。从生态批评视角分析此文本,探讨其主人公精神家园失落背后的创伤叙事与重构的身体叙事,对于实现平等的两性关系、人与自然和谐发展的生态理想,具有重要的现实意义。

Spiritual home is the ideal spiritual habitat of human beings,the core of human life,and the place where human beings can find themselves.The ecological ideal advocated in Lawrence’s novel Lady Chatterley’s Lover is actually an advocacy of human nature,an advocacy of an ecological way of life,highlighting the alienated human desire for an ideal spiritual home under industrial civilization.The text presents the postwar natural environment and human spiritual experience through the perspectives of Clifford,Mellors and Lady Chatterley.To severe trauma,it is urgent to reconstruct the ideal home of human beings.Although reconstruction is full of unstable factors,it is a reference for human beings to reflect on the relationship between self and nature.Analyzing the text from the perspective of ecological criticism and discussing the traumatic narrative and reconstructed body narrative behind the loss of the hero’s spiritual homeland is of great practical significance for realizing the ecological ideal of harmonious development between the sexes and between man and nature.
