国际数据期刊的发展现状调查与分析 被引量:18

An investigation and analysis of development status of international data journals

摘要 【目的】分析国际数据期刊的出版现状,以期为国内同行了解这一出版形态提供数据支撑和资料借鉴,并针对我国的数据期刊建设提出思考和建议。【方法】对全球数据期刊当前的总体发展状况展开摸底调查。通过登录期刊官网获取创刊时间、期刊类型、出版机构、开放获取模式等属性特征;通过与JCR学科比对,获取学科属性、是否被收录等属性特征。限于语言原因,本文只统计了出版语言为英语或汉语的数据期刊。【结果】全球共创办了168种数据期刊,其中162种处于正常出版状态,涵盖了85个学科领域,集中在生物学、医学、生态学、环境科学以及地理与地质相关的学科。共有26家出版机构出版数据期刊。149种期刊采用开放获取出版模式;102种数据期刊被SCI收录。【结论】数据期刊已成为学术出版领域的一种重要出版形态,发表数据论文的期刊数量呈增加趋势。建议社会各界共同行动起来为我国数据期刊的发展提供更多支持。 [Purposes]This paper analyzes the development status of data journals,aiming to provide detailed data support for domestic peers to understand this publishing form.Meanwhile,we propose our thoughts and suggestions about development plan for domestic data journals.[Methods]A survey on the current overall development of data journals was conducted.The features such as the launch time,the type of data journals,the publishing agency,and the open access models were obtained by visiting the official website of each journal;the subject category of data journals was obtained from JCR database.For those not indexed by Web of Science,we intensively read through the"Aims and Scope"of each journal and matched them to JCR.Due to the language limit,our list includes only English-and Chinese-language data journals.[Findings]A total of 168 data journals were established worldwide,of which 162 are currently in publication.The 162 data journals cover 85 subject areas,mostly focusing on biology,medicine,ecology,environmental science,and geography and geology related disciplines.A total of 26 publishing organizations publish data journals.A total of 149 journals adopt the open access publishing model,and 102 data journals(63%of the total)have been indexed by SCI database.[Conclusions]Data journals have become an important publishing type in the field of academic publishing and the number of data journals has been increased as well.We propose that all stakeholders work together to provide more supports for domestic data journals.
