Military "Misjudgment" Encountering Political "Misunderstanding" ——The "Zhang Hanmin Event" and Its Subsequent Influence

杨虎城所辖陕西警备第三旅张汉民部是参与“围剿”红二十五军的陕军主力之一。张汉民是中共地下党员,名义上参与“围剿”红二十五军,实则对其进行了一定的保护。但由于红二十五军领导层对张汉民的政治身份颇为怀疑,决定消灭该旅。张汉民却过于自信与红二十五军之间的“约定”,未能保持必要警惕,并对不断显露的险情疏于防范,最终该部被击溃,张汉民被俘后遭错杀。“张汉民事件”一方面促使红二十五军领导层对陕西省委和红二十六军及其领导人刘志丹等产生了负面看法,在一定程度上诱发了“陕北肃反”;另一方面,该事件破坏了中共与杨虎城之间的统战关系,造成杨虎城及其部属对中共的防范和敌视。

The third brigade of Shaanxi Garrison Headquarters in the charge of Yang Hucheng,headed by Zhang Hanmin,was one of the main forces of "the Shaanxi Army"taking part in the encirclement and suppression of the Red Army No.25 troop.Zhang Hanmin,an underground member of the CPC,nominally took part in the encirclement and suppression of the Red Army No.25 troop,but actually protected it to a certain extent.However,the leadership of the Red Army No.25 troop suspected the political identity of Zhang Hanmin and decided to eliminate his brigade.However,Zhang Hanmin himself was overconfident about the "agreement"with the Red Army No.25 troop,failed to maintain necessary vigilance,and neglected to take precautions against increasingly apparent risk,which ultimately led to the defeat of the brigade and cause him to be killed by mistake after being captured.On the one hand,the"Zhang Hanmin Event"prompted the leadership of the Red Army No.25 troop to have a negative view on the Shaanxi provincial Party committee,the Red Army No.26 troop and its leader Liu Zhidan,which to some extent led to" Northern Shaanxi Counter Insurgency";On the other hand,the event damaged the relationship between the CPC and Yang Hucheng in the united front,resulting in Yang Hucheng and its subordinates'prevention and hostility to the CPC.
