教育对老年人健康的影响机制研究

The Influencing Mechanism of Education on the Health of the Elderly

教育和健康是个体人力资本积累的重要形式,现有大多数研究已经证实了两者之间的正相关关系,但鲜有文献研究教育对老年人健康的影响机制。基于2015年中国健康与养老追踪调查数据,利用Logit方法研究受教育程度对老年人健康的影响,同时用结构方程模型全面检验其影响机制。研究发现受教育程度在初中及以上的老人,健康水平更高。教育对健康的正向影响,在非农业户口群体中表现较大(相较于农业户口)。文章考虑到老年人中的失能老人群体,发现较高的教育水平降低了老年人的失能概率,初中教育以上的老人群体失能概率明显低于小学教育及以下的老年人。研究发现教育通过心理状态对老年人健康产生显著的正向影响。因此,在我国老龄化的背景下,应重视教育对健康的影响作用,注重健康干预政策的实施与使用,提高老年人生活质量。

As the most important part of human capital,education and health are highly concerned by economists,However,few literature have discussed the influence mechanism of education and elderly health.In this paper,we used the data from China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study in 2015.And the structural equation model is used to test its influence mechanism.The study found that older people with education in junior high school and above had higher levels of health.The positive impact of education on health is greater in non-agricultural hukou groups(com pared to agricultural hukou).This paper considers the disabled elderly population in the elderly and finds that the high er education level reduces the probability of disability in the elderly.The disability rate of the elderly in the junior high school education is significantly lower than that in the primary education and below.The study found that education has a significant positive impact on the health of older people through mental state and health.Therefore,in the context of China's aging population,attention should be paid to the impact of education on health,the implementation and use of health intervention policies,to improve the quality of life of the elderly.
