The allowable passing speed value of the plane curve of the rail transit line is the curve speed limit value, which is the basic data of the signal design.Increasing the speed limit value can improve the train operation speed&service efficiency, and strengthen the passenger attraction. At present, although the relevant specifications put forward allowing instantaneous overspeed of 5 km/h and allowing unbalanced lateral acceleration of 0.5 m/s^2 in a short time, the speed limit situation has been improved to some extent, but it is still slightly insufficient.Based on the comparison&analysis of the effect of speed limit improvement measures in different specifications&the results of practical application, the improvement scheme is discussed from three aspects:directly improving the line design standard, increasing the allowable short-term unbalanced lateral acceleration and reducing the signal warning value.Through the comparative analysis of three schemes, combined with the relevant regulations and test results at home and abroad,it is proposed to increase the allowable shortterm unbalanced lateral acceleration scheme with speed of 0.6 m/s^2(equivalent to 91.8 mm under super elevation).Research shows that it can improve the speed&service efficiency of rail transit. It can be seen that the method of increasing the allowable short-term unbalanced lateral acceleration may provide references for the design of curve speed limit in the future.
