Innovations on Song Dynasty Flambe Glazed Jizhou Ware

宋代吉州窑产品以黑釉瓷最负盛名,在装饰风格上有其独到之处。宋代吉州窑黑釉瓷通过采集附近山上的铁矿石,再将铁矿石研磨成粉并制成釉料,而后通过独特的技法和不同的装饰手法,借助窑变,制作出变幻莫测、匪夷所思的窑变色釉。本文从宋代吉州窑窑变瓷的釉色、制备工艺出发,探讨创新吉州窑窑变瓷的若干可能途径。

Song Dynasty Jizhou was most famous for its black glazed products which were unique in their decorative styles. The varied fantastic colors of black glazed Song Dynasty Jizhou ware were created by using glazes made of ground iron ores mined from the mountain nearby, applying them with different techniques in different styles, and then transmuting them through kiln fire. This paper explores the some potential techniques to achieve innovative kiln transmutation effects on Jizhou ware.
