Making New Advances in International Studies by Profoundly Studying and Comprehending Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy

在举国上下隆重庆祝新中国成立70周年的喜庆日子里,我们举行研讨会纪念《国际问题研究》创刊60周年,这是一件很有意义的事。创刊以来,《国际问题研究》在跟踪分析国际形势、解读中国外交政策、宣介中国观点、促进国际学术交流方面发挥了重要作用。

For the past 70 years, led by the Communist Party of China(CPC), China’s diplomacyhas forged a global network of partnerships, promoted domestic development, reform and opening-up, firmly regards safeguarding China’s sovereignty, security, and development interests, substantially improved China’s international standing and influence, offered Chinese wisdom and Chinese approaches to the international community, served the interests of the Chinese people and therefore made great achievements of historical significance. To retrospect the past 70 years of China’s diplomacy with the hope of a bright future, We should closely unite around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, follow the spirit of the 19 th CPC National Congress and the spirit of the fourth plenary session of the 19 th CPC Central Committee, actively coordinate domestic and international situation, properly respond to, guard against and defuse various risks and challenges, and advance major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics in the new era. Comrades engaged in the study of international issues need to take a clear political stand, and keep to the right direction, adhere to the scientific method, and focus on eliminating the false and preserving the true, contribute Chinese wisdom and make China’s voice heard, and actively and better serve the central task and be good "advisors" and "consultants" for the central government.
