摘要
亨利·詹姆斯的代表作《一位女士的画像》是一部成长小说。从地理空间、社会空间和心理空间这三个空间维度,剖析了空间对于女主人公伊莎贝尔成长所产生的影响,展现了空间与女主人公成长的关系。伊莎贝尔打破空间的束缚与限制,在异国他乡,从一个天真的女孩成长为一名心理道德成熟的女士,完成了人生的蜕变。
Henry James’The Portrait of a Lady is an initiation novel,which analyzes the influence of space on the growth of the heroine Isabel from three spatial dimensions:geography,social space and psychological space and also reveals the relationship between space and the growth of the heroine.Breaking the constraints and limitations of space,Isabel grew up from a naive little girl into a mature woman who was psychologically ethical,which completed the transformation of her life.
