The Mystery of Alice’ s Identity ——A Case Study for Corpus Stylistics

以《爱丽丝漫游奇境记》为研究对象,借助《奇妙的奥兹男巫》为平行参照语料库,以及BROWN的小说分语料库为大型参照语料库进行多重对比研究,通过语料库文体学方法,提取关键词和词簇,检索分析小说情节发展轨迹,为主人公爱丽丝的身份迷失和重新认同过程,提供比较理性的语言学阐释,为英美文学赏析课程提供切实可行的语料库分析途径。

As regards to literary works,various scholarships have been contributed to literary critiques,translation,stylistic comparison between different texts of a famous author or from different writers,usually classic works from big names.Nevertheless,few attentions have been paid to a synergy of corpus stylistic analysis and profound discussion for literature language phenomenon.In this paper,the author aims to look for a linkage between corpus evidence and literary critical account of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.Two reference corpora,The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and the fictional sub-corpus of BROWN corpus,are selected to capture the‘foregrounding’linguistic features,which is expected to provide corpus evidence for the theme analysis and Alice’s identity myth.It may also provide English literature courses with operational guidance.
