Analysis of Motive Factors for the Large-scale Application of Drip Irrigation Technology in Xinjiang

分析自1999年以来新疆滴灌技术大规模推广应用的各种影响因素,分别阐述了滴灌技术在新疆多年来推广应用的内在、主要、主导、保障和激励因素,及对其发展的推动作用和影响。各种因素的叠加推动了新疆滴灌技术的爆发式增长。

This paper analyzes the major factors that facilitate the large-scale popularization and application of drip irrigation technology in Xinjiang since 1999.First,there are severe water shortages in Xinjiang,which is an internal motive for application of drip irrigation technology to agricultural production there.Second,drip irrigation technology can bring significant economic and ecological benefits,which is the major factor for promotion of the large-scale application of this technology.Third,owing to technical innovations,drip irrigation technology has become cost-effective,which plays a leading role in its application.Fourth,drip irrigation technology has been integrated with crop cultivation technology,which substantially accelerates the application of drip irrigation technology.Finally,there are a number of polices that support and stimulate the large-scale application of drip irrigation technology.These five factors collectively lead to the explosive extension of the application of drip irrigation technology in Xinjiang,and these practices and developmental models in Xinjiang are valuable references for other provinces and cities to apply drip irrigation technology.
