There are many ways to extract the edge contour of the ice-covered image in the transmission line.The principles,performance and features of some classic edge detection methods and the new edge detection methods which have received attention are listed and compared in this article.It has guiding significance for the selection of edge detection methods for processing the ice coating image in the transmission line.
