英文电影的字幕类型对词汇附带习得影响的实证研究 被引量:3

摘要 英文影视作品这一优质多模态文本以其真实语言输入与趣味性等诸多优点广受二语学习者追捧。字幕类型是影响影视促学的重要变量之一。观影时播放何种字幕促学效果最佳,学界缺乏系统探讨。通过对比分析不同字幕类型电影对词汇附带习得的影响,发现:不同字幕类型电影皆能增进附带词汇习得;字幕类型不同,词汇习得效果也不同,双字幕组词汇习得效果显著高于中文字幕、英文字幕和无字幕组,而单字幕和无字幕各组间则无显著差异。研究结果表明双字幕电影的促学效果最佳。观影者可根据自身的语言水平和观影目的选择字幕类型,但双字幕电影应成为二语学习者的首选。 English movie as an effective multimoding version is popular among second language learners because of its genuine input and great interest.Subtitle is an important variant to promote learning effect when students watch English movie.But what kind of subtitle is more effective in learning is what we need to do further study.This study investigates the effects of subtitles of English movie on incidental vocabulary acquisition.Results show that:(1)Movies of different subtitles contributes a lot to students’incidental acquisition;(2)Movies of different subtitles enhance students’incidental vocabulary differently.Movies with bilingual subtitle create the best effects compared to monolingual subtitles such as Chinese subtitle,English subtitle and non-subtitle.The difference between monolingual subtitle and non-subtitle is not statistically significant.The data indicates that movie with bilingual subtitleis the most effective on vocabulary acquisition.Second language learners should take bilingual subtitle as the first choice but they can choose other subtitles accordingly due to different language proficiency and different aims.
