This paper summarizes structural requirements for reinforcedconcrete beams based on Americanconcrete structure design standard ACI318-14M under the non-seismic conditions, including minimum beam depthignoring the deflection limit, minimum flexural, shear and torsional reinforcement, splice and development of reinforcement,concrete cover and detail requirement of reinforcement, it can help designers apply American code for structural design accurately and efficiently.
