The integrated development of urban and rural areas in small towns is an important breakthrough to realize the new urbanization in China.By analyzing the development process of small towns in China from 1949 to 2015,summarizing their development characteristics and existing problems,and then according to the new situation and opportunities of the development of small towns in China,based on the latest strategy of urban development in China,puts forward countermeasures for the overall development and integrated development of small towns in China.
