A Textual Research into the Academic Exchange between Cheng Tingzuo and Cheng Jinfang

程廷祚与程晋芳是清代中期著名的经学家,他们同出于徽州程氏,且为同族祖孙。乾隆元年两人初见于淮阴,便结下了深厚的友谊,从此莫逆相交三十余年。他们之间的学术交流与影响意义重大,却未得到学术界关注。通过对程廷祚、程晋芳交往轨迹的爬梳,以及学术心理、学术取向的原因分析,既可展示两人的学术流变,更能让人一窥乾隆前期的学风转变实态——经学皮相下,考据学的地位与日俱高、实学和理学渐趋沉默。

Cheng Tingzuo and Cheng Jinfang were famous scholars in the mid-Qing Dynasty.They came out of Hui Zhou together as their ancestors.In the first year of Qianlong reign,they first met in Huaiyin,and formed a profound friendship.Since then,they have been intersecting for more than 30 years.Their academic exchanges and influence are of great significance,but they have not received the attention of the academic community.Through careful analysis of Cheng Tingzuo and Cheng Jinfang's communication trajectory,their academic psychology and the internal causes of their changes in academic orientation,this paper not only shows their academic changes,but also gives a glimpse of the change of the academic style in the early Qianlong reign.Under the skin of classics study,the status of the textual research is high,and the practice and science are gradually silent.
