Develop a New Area for the Study of Translation from Chinese into Foreign Languages——Explore the Way for Chinese Calligraphy Translation

探索中国书法艺术走向世界的途径,深入研究开发中译外的新领域,指出中国书法艺术可以融入世界各国文字尤其是西方文字,达到中为洋用,从而永葆青春,继续得以发扬光大。通过分析中西文字的结构特点及其书写工具,讨论中西方诗歌、名言等精彩文化载体之间的完美转换,论证了用毛笔书写欧美文字,将中国书法作品外译,形成一种崭新的艺术作品,实现书法艺术全球化的创意确有可行性。

By exploring the way for Chinese calligraphy to go abroad,this paper makes an intensive study to develop the new area for rendering Chinese calligraphy into foreign languages.It implies that only if Chinese calligraphy is adapted for foreign use,can the art be carried forward.It is indeed feasible to write Western words with ink brush and translate Chinese calligraphy works into other languages to form a new artistic work and realize the globalization of calligraphy.By analyzing the structural features and writing tools of Chinese and Western languages,we have found a way to transform wonderful Chinese cultural carriers such as poems and famous sayings into foreign languages.
