At the celebration of the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up,Comrade Xi Jinping put forward the concept of"the spirit of reform and opening up"which is a summary and a highlight of China’s success in its practice reform and opening-up in the past 40 years by the CPC."The spirit of reform and opening up"has rich connotations which can be elaborated as follows:the spirit of seeking truth from facts,the spirit of reform and innovation,the spirit of being pioneer and of responsibility,the spirit of striving for success,the spirit of being industrious and hard-working and the spirit of win-win cooperation.The progress of reform and opening-up will never stop,and the spirit of reform and opening up will never fade away in the new era.An in-depth analysis and understanding of the essence of the scientific connotations of the spirit of reform and opening up will provide a powerful ideological support for the development of the socialism with Chinese characteristics,and add to the national spiritual connotation.
