Life Cycle, Working Rights and Interests and Postponed Retirement

基于对个体生命周期三阶段(成长期、工作期、退休期)的划分,分析延迟退休与生命周期结构变动、个体工作权益之间的互动关系。研究发现:在平均预期寿命延长、工作起始时间推迟的背景下,"固化"的退休年龄加剧了生命周期结构的扭曲程度,而延迟退休则是顺应生命周期结构变化的结果;延迟退休通过保障个体工作年限,能够有效降低生命周期赤字、保障个体工作权益,从而增强个体收入积累,提升代内、代际支持能力。研究结果为理解延迟退休做出了补充性解释。

Based on the division of the three stages of an individual’s life cycle(the growth period, working period and retirement period), this paper analyzes the interaction between the delayed retirement and the structural change of life cycle, and the individual working rights and interests. The results show that: as the starting-to-work age postpones and life expectancy increases,fixed retirement age under current policy exacerbates the degree of twisting life-cycle structure, while the delayed retirement is a natural result to adapt to the change of life cycle structure;Postponing retirement can effectively reduce the life cycle deficit and protect the rights and interests of individuals by guaranteeing their working years, so as to enhance the accumulation of individual income and enhance the supporting capacity within and between generations. This study provides a supplementary explanation for the necessity of delayed retirement.
