Practice and Enlightenment of Open Access Institutional Repository in American Universities

机构知识库作为开放获取运动的重要实现形式之一,能够加快学术信息的传播与交流。美国高校是开放获取理念的主要践行者,在开放获取机构知识库建设和服务上发挥着重要的作用。本文从资源建设和服务内容两方面对美国高校机构知识库进行分析,提出我国高校在建设开放获取机构知识库时要延伸机构知识库核心价值,丰富机构知识库服务内容,明确机构知识库的服务主体,制定完备的建设制度,并注重机构知识库的知识产权保护。

Institutional repository is one of the important forms of open access movement,which can promote the dissemination and spread of information.American universities are the main practitioners of open access,playing an important role in the construction and service of open access institutional repositories.This paper analyzes the resource and service of the institutional repositories in American universities,and comes up with some advice of extending the core value and enriching the contents of institutional repository,formulating a complete construction system,and paying attention to the intellectual property protection of institutional repository in the construction of open access institutional repositories in China.
