存在主义视域下诺思洛普·弗莱神话理论的人文内涵分析

An Analysis of Humanistic Connotation of Northrop Frye’s Myth Theory from the Perspective of Existentialism

诺思洛普·弗莱在其学术生涯后期时提出了关怀神话与自由神话概念,将神话由文学原型作用扩展至人文关怀作用。其中,弗莱对人类存在、自由选择、想象意义的探讨,与让-保罗·萨特的存在主义思想有着诸多契合之处。本文在萨特存在主义视域下,解读弗莱神话理论中体现的存在主义思想与人文内涵,分析神话对人类存在及社会发展的关怀作用。

In the later period of his academic career,Northrop Frye put forward the concepts of myth of concern and myth of freedom,extending the functions of myth from literary archetype to humanistic care.In the myth theory,Frye’s discussions of human existence,free choice and the significance of imagination share a lot of common ground with Jean-Paul Sartre’s Existentialism.From the perspective of Sartre’s Existentialism,this paper explicates existential thinking and humanistic connotation reflected in Frye’s myth theory and analyzes myth’s concern for the existence of human and development of society.
