Local Elites and Rural Culture Construction: Analysis of Inheritance of Langfang Ancient Concerts

古音乐会是河北廊坊地方传统文化的一大亮点,也是这里乡村文化建设的重要内容。通过廊坊古音乐会调研可以发现,自明清以来,这一优秀传统文化的传承经历了几个不同的阶段,而地方精英在每一阶段中都有不同形式的参与。纵观之,可看到地方精英所特有的权力资源对区域社会文化发展的影响及两者间的互动。比较现代地方精英与传统士绅在乡村文化建设中的不同表现与作用,可为当前的乡村文化建设及其地方精英作用的发挥提供历史性参考。

The ancient concert is a highlight of the traditional culture of Langfang in Hebei Province,and it is also an important part of the construction of local rural culture.Investigation of Langfang ancient concerts found that since the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the inheritance of this excellent traditional culture has gone through several different stages,and local elites have different forms of participation in each stage.Throughout,we can see the impact of local elites’power resources on regional social and cultural development,and the interaction between them.Comparing the different performances and roles of modern local elites and traditional gentry in the construction of rural culture can provide a historical reference for the current construction of rural culture and the role of local elites.
