文章主要分析了网络流行语英译过程中出现的词汇空缺类型,包括:简缩类词语空缺、谐音类词语空缺、"象形"类词语空缺、叠音类词语空缺、方言类词语空缺;同时探讨产生空缺的原因包含社会生活环境不同造成的空缺和语言结构形式差异造成的空缺等。

This paper mainly analyzes the types of lexical gaps in the process of translating network buzzwords into English consisting of abbreviation type,homophony type,pictograph type,reiterative type and dialect type,and in addition explores the causes of the gaps in-cluding differences in soucial environm ent and language structure.
