试论高职大学英语教改成效及发展方向

On Accomplishments and Direction of College English Teaching Reform in Polytechnics

高职大学英语课程改革在教学设施、教学形式、教学方法及手段的方面取得了较大的成效,但教学内容仍停留在EGP一统江山的局面。在国家实施“一带一路”建设的背景下,高职院校大学英语课程应有别于本科院校,将教学内容转向ESP,以培养善于以英语为工具,主动吸纳专业前沿信息的高技能人才。

Great achievements have been made in College English teaching reform in polytechnics nationwide in terms of teaching facilities,teaching ways and approaches,etc.Nevertheless,in almost every one of these schools College English course is taught as EGP.In a situation where China is implementing the“Belt and Road”Initiative,College English course in polytechnics should take an independent role different from that of four-year universities and be taught as ESP to facilitate the training of highly-skilled talents who can use English as a tool to help learn and exchange cutting-edge technologies in their professional subjects.
