摘要
以一则政治漫画为例,从社会认知视角探析多模态话语生产者利用多种模态符号构建知识、再现现实的社会——政治意图。研究表明,认知语言学的概念隐喻、概念整合理论可与社会符号学的系统功能语法、评价理论整合构建互补性批评多模态隐喻分析模式,该模式将语篇—认知—社会纳入一个整体,考察多模态隐喻性语篇整体意义构建和意识形态自然化的过程,对多模态隐喻语篇的批评话语分析有着较强的解释力。
Through case study of a political cartoon,the paper examines the socio-political intentions of producers of multimodal discourse by analyzing the way they use modal symbols to construct knowledge and reproduce reality.The study shows that a complimentary analysis model of critical multimodal metaphor can be drawn on the integration of cognitive theories of conceptual metaphor and conceptual blending with SFL and appraisal theory in a social semiotics framework.This model,which integrates discourse,cognition and society as a whole,can better reveal the overall meaning of multimodal metaphorical discourse and ideology naturalization,and therefore offers a more effective power of explanation for critical multimodal metaphor analysis.
