On the basis of the combing and analysis of relevant historical facts,this paper explores the effects and consequences of education during the solution of social problems and the promotion of social revolution in the era of progressivism in America.From a specific perspective,the paper reexamines the historical evolution of American education so as to real enrich and expand the research on the history of American education and to deepen the understanding of the relationship between education and social transformation.
