Gansu boasts the ancient Silk Road of thousands of miles and the Yellow River civilization of thousands of years.Gansu,which is located in the upper reaches of the Yellow River,has been the throat of the Silk Road and a commercial hub since ancient times.The 6,000km plusancient Silk Road runs through Gansu for more than 1,600km.Countless caravans and camels pass through the Hexi Corridor,unblocking the commercial channel between the Central Plains and the Western Regions.
