Variable gear is an important part of power transmission and gear shift of motorcycle engine.By an example of pitting corrosion in an engine,combined the structure characteristic and working principle of motorcycle engine,this paper analyzes the cause of gear failure and makes corrective measures,which is proved to be solved effectively through experimental verification.
