心智哲学视域下意向语境的认知翻译研究

A Study on Cognitive Translation of Intentional Context from the Perspective of Philosophy of Mind

本文在心智哲学家和语言哲学家塞尔的意向性理论启发下,从句子意义所依赖的前意向性背景、意向状态和意向性网络等相关要素出发,结合斯波伯与威尔逊的关联理论所提出的"认知语境",提出了"意向语境"概念,沿着塞尔提出的用意向性解释语言的逻辑分析方向,在更为明晰的认知维度上分析句子意义,并在翻译研究的视角下,将对源语意向性的推理解析和目标语的重构为切入点进行比较分析和评价,以期推动认知翻译研究走向深入。本研究既展现了心智哲学视阈下的意向性理论对语言学分析的启发,也为认知翻译学提供了更具解释性的理论支持和可操作性的研究方法。

Inspired by Intentionality Theory developed by John R. Searle the philosopher of mind and of language, this paper, on the basis of the pre-intentional background, intentional states,and an array of elements in the intentional network that the literal meanings of a sentence may depend on, proposes the concept of "intentional context"in the light of "cognitive context" put forward by Sperber and Wilson in their Relevance Theory. It hopes to explain language in terms of intentionality on more explicit cognitive dimensions in the direction of logical analysis envisioned by Searle.From the perspective of translation studies, it gives comparative analyses and evaluations on the inferences and interpretations of intentionality in the source language text and its reconstruction in the target language text, in the hope of making cognitive translation studies more explicit. This study demonstrates the insight of Intentionality Theory on linguistic analysis on one hand and provides a more powerful theory and method for Cognitive Translatology on the other.
