In Pursuit of Synchronization: Opportunities and Challenges for a New Round of Library Development

新中国成立70年来,尤其是改革开放40年我国图书馆事业能量得到大释放。从初期的粗放型发展到如今的高质量发展,图书馆保持了与社会发展同步。今天,各行各业都面临转型。对图书馆来说,转型既是挑战,又是机遇,它使得每一个图书馆都处在同一起跑线上。本文提出与时代要求同步,推进数字化转型;与用户期待同步,提升优质服务;与全球发展同步,扩大国际视野。要紧紧抓住新一轮的发展机遇,借船出海,乘势而上,推动图书馆事业发展上一个新的台阶。

In the 70 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, especially in the 40 years after the reform and opening up, the library development in China has released great energies. From the initial extensive development to the current high-quality development, the library has kept pace with the social development. Today, all walks of life are facing transformation. For libraries, transformation is both a challenge and an opportunity, and it enables every library to be on the same starting line. This paper proposes to synchronize with the requirements of the time and promote digital transformation;synchronize with users’ expectations and improve quality services;synchronize with global development and expand international perspectives. We must firmly grasp the new opportunities and sail to the great ocean of development with the trend, take advantages of the momentum, and promote the development of libraries to a new height.
