Experience of professor YUAN Xiaofeng using Xingui Sanyi Tang (辛桂散疫汤) to treat herpangina in children

原晓风教授认为儿童疱疹性咽峡炎的基本病机为内有湿热郁遏、外有疫毒上攻,治疗时采用寒温并用、标本兼治的方法,并依据温病学卫气营血辨证理论提出散疫解毒、清热利咽的治则,创立的辛桂散疫汤在遣方用药上,重视运用辛温类药物,旨在达到祛外邪、防复感的目的。附验案1则,以资验证。

Professor YUAN Xiaofeng holds that the basic pathogenesis of herpangina in children lies in internal dampness-heat stagnating and inhibiting and external pestilence upper attack.The methods of combined use of cold and warm herbs as well as treating both manifestation and root cause of disease were used in the treatment.He also puts forward the therapeutic principle of dissipating the pestilence and removing toxic materials as well as clearing away heat and soothing throat based on syndrome differentiation according to weifen,yingfen and xuefen of seasonal febrile disease theory.Xingui Sanyi Tang(辛桂散疫汤)created by her focuses on application of pungent and warm herbs in prescription making and medication,which aims at expelling external pathogenic factors and preventing contraction again.One proved case is attached for verification.
