20世纪初,由于国际市场对中国蛋品的旺盛需求,致使中国蛋品工业偶遇难得的发展契机。一批近代化的新式蛋厂就此应运而生,其中以甬商在沪创办的茂昌蛋品公司最具代表性。当时洋商垄断市场,华商饱受欺凌,该企业以“破除垄断,独立发展”为目标,巧施策略,勇于抗争,在与和记洋行等对手的反复较量中愈战愈强,1935年跨国“托拉斯”组织的形成宣告了茂昌公司在华洋竞争中的阶段性胜利。茂昌公司的发展历程证明:中国近代民族企业同样具备一流的市场竞争力,完全有能力参与国际市场的商业角逐。

At the beginning of the 20th century,due to the strong demand for Chinese eggs in the international market,China’s eggs industry encountered a rare opportunity for development.A batch of modern new egg factories emerged as the times require.Among them,Maochang Egg Company,founded in Shanghai by Ningbo merchants,was the most representative.At that time,the foreign businessmen monopolized the market and the Chinese businessmen were bullied.With the purpose of“breaking the monopoly and independent development”,the enterprise skillfully applied strategies and bravely fought against the monopoly.In the repeated competition with foreign rivals such as Hutchison,it gradually grew stronger.In 1935,the formation of transnational“trust”organization announced the stage victory of Maochang Company.Through the relevant research of Maochang Company,it was fully proved that the modern Chinese national enterprises also had the first-class market competitiveness and were fully capable of participating in the commercial competition in the international market.
