摘要
提出了一种基于三角网格模型简化的降低3D打印材料消耗的方法。在现有的二次误差度量网格模型简化算法(QEM)的基础上,结合三维空间顶点凸凹性和曲率计算方法优化顶点的折叠代价,保证折叠顶点始终向模型实体内部简化;在减少三角面片数量的同时,尽可能不改变网格模型边界特征及其稳定性等物理特性,从而降低3D打印材料消耗。通过计算模型简化前后体积大小验证了该方法的有效性。
This paper proposed an approach for reducing the consumption of 3D printing materials based on triangular mesh model simplification.On the basis of QEM(Quadric Error Metric)mesh simplification method,and combined with the curvature calculation of three-dimensional space vertexes for the optimization the folding price,folding vertexes were always simplified to internal model entities.The number of triangular facets was reduced as far as possible without changing the physical characteristics of the mesh boundary characteristics and stability,so as to reduce the material consumption of 3D printing.Finally,the change of volume before and after model folding verified the validity of the method.
