隋唐赵郡东祖房赞皇李氏支系略述

A Brief Account of Li’s Branch of Emperor Zanhuang in the East Zufang of Zhaojun in Sui and Tang Dynasties

赞皇一支是隋唐时期赵郡李氏中发展最为鼎盛的一支,崛起于隋,发展于唐初,闻名于中晚唐,一度成为隋唐赵郡李氏家族的代表郡望,分为东祖赞皇、西祖赞皇及南祖赞皇。西祖赞皇声名最显,而东祖赞皇是赞皇李氏群体中支系发展最为繁荣的。初唐时期,东祖赞皇开始为世人所知,其中以希礼一支发展最盛;到中晚唐时期,家族中活跃于政坛的仅有李绛、李珏等支系,并很快没落。这与科举制及士庶合流的趋势不无相关,大量的墓志和传记资料详细记录了东祖赞皇李氏支系的鼎盛与衰落。

The Zanhuang group was the most prosperous one among the Li family of Zhaojun in the Sui and Tang Dynasties.It rose in the Sui Dynasty and developed in the early Tang Dynasty and was well-known in the middle and late Tang Dynasty.It once became the representative prefecture of the Li family of Zhaojun in the Sui and Tang Dynasties.It was divided into the East ancestor Zanhuang,the West ancestor Zanhuang and the South ancestor Zanhuang.Emperor Zan of Xizu is the most famous,while that of Dongzu is the most prosperous branch of Li family.In the early Tang Dynasty,Emperor Zanhuang of Dongzu began to be known to the world,among which the Shili branch was the most prosperous.In the middle and late Tang Dynasty,only Li Jiang,Li Jue and other branches were active in politics,and soon declined.This is closely related to the trend of imperial examination system and the confluence of scholars and commoners.A large number of epitaphs and biographies made records of the prosperity and decline of Li’s branch of emperor Zanhuang of Dongzu in detail.
