Sustainable development is an emerging field of urban planning policies and practices in both developed and developing countries. As a part of the sustainability of urban development sources power,the globality, fundamentality and chronicity of the concept of sustainability determines that it will have a profound impact on the development of China and the world for quite a long time. This paper discusses the connotation of the concept of sustainable development and carries out the research and practical application analysis of urban renewal theory under the background of urban renewal development.
