The landscape poetry has a standing out status in Wang Wei’s poetry.Wang Wei observes all the phenomenon in the nature with a heart learning Zen,using the intuition of art to experience nature.He writes poetry with a method called“applying color”which usually used in drawing.Wang Wei combines natural landscape with his peaceful treatment to construct the color in his landscape poetry which shapes a natural and quiet style of his landscape poetry.And the realm of poetry,Zen and human beings in Wang Wei’s landscape poetry is manifested by the aesthetic feeling about color from the words.In other words,the special style and huge achievement of his landscape poetry are shaped from using the method called“applying color”.We tries to discuss the artistic characteristic of applying color in Wang Wei’s landscape poetry in three aspects:specific characteristics,significance and factors.
