Black tea, after a series of propagation from the original soil China to Europe and finally be spread to Japan who was experiencing the conflict and integration of old and new cultures, has gradually acquired new connotation and finally turned into a cultural symbol with special meaning in Japan. In modern literary works, black tea was regarded as a cultural symbol of high-end,elegant and fashionable, symbolizing the divergence between Western culture and Japanese traditional culture. It is also a representative of the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures. It reflects the longing of modern intellectuals to the West, and witnesses the struggle between the new and the old,the Western and the traditional.
