斡禄打儿罕囊素天命六年(1621)率领徒众自科尔沁投奔英明汗努尔哈赤于新占领的辽阳城,他是后金和清朝第一位大喇嘛。三个月以后去世,英明汗在辽阳南门外二里建立寺院,专门供奉这位大喇嘛舍利。寺院虽小,住僧、庄园、属民、奴仆具备,是后金和清朝最早敕建的喇嘛寺院。天聪四年(1630)已移都沈阳的聪明汗皇太极遵行先汗遗命,增建西藏式舍利宝塔,竖立满汉合璧碑文记述缘起。这是清朝建立的最早碑文,最早的西藏佛教碑文,还是清代唯一的无圈点满文碑文。

Leading his disciples,Wolu-darkhan Nansu left Khorchin and went to Nurkhachi’s place for shelter in 1621. He was the first great lama master in late Jin and the Qing Dynasty. He passed away after three months.Nurkhachi built a temple at two li beyond of the Liaoyang south gate,worshiped the relics of Wolu-darkhan Nansu. Although the temple was small,it had the abbot,the garden,the subjects and servants. It was the first temple which built by late Jin and the Qing Dynasty. The temple built a new relics pagoda of Tibetan-mode in1630 according to the will of the Huangtaiji while the capital was moved to Shenyang at the time,and erected the Manchu-Han Chinese inscription in it. This was the first inscription which built by the Qing court,also was both the first Tibetan Buddhism inscription and only no-dot Manchu inscription of the Qing.
