Characteristics and Experiences of the National Science Foundation of the United States

摘要美国国家科学基金会(NSF)一直引领着美国基础研究的进步,不仅推动着美国科学的前行,也对国际科技交流与发展做出了一定的贡献。从经费投入、评议体系、制度保障三个方面来探寻美国国家科学基金会的优势所在,分析NSF在基金管理方面的先进经验,并结合美国国家科学基金会的优势提出关于我国基础研究发展的一些思考与启发。 The National Science Foundation(NSF)has been leading the advancement of basic research in the United States,not only promoting the development of American science,but also contributing to the progress of basic research worldwide.This article aims to analyze the advantages of the NSF from three aspects:funding investment,evaluation system,and institutional system.From the advanced experience from NSF in fund management,this article intends to propose some thoughts of the development of basic research in China.
