浅谈跨文化意识指导下的新闻英语翻译

新闻是国家间增进了解和信息沟通的有效渠道,在英语新闻的翻译过程中,不仅要完成英汉两种语言的转化,还要注意到两种语言在文化背景上存在的差异,译者应采取符合目标读者语言表达习惯和文化背景的翻译策略,在尊重原文大意的基础上,进行合理变通。所以跨文化意识的树立对英语新闻翻译尤为重要。鉴于此,对新闻英语翻译的特点与跨文化培养等问题进行了探讨,总结归纳出翻译过程中的注意事项和应对策略,旨在为新闻英语翻译提供借鉴,以准确恰当的方式进行信息传播。

News is an effective medium for enhancing understanding and information communication among countries.In the process of translating news English,not only is the transformation between English and Chinese involved,but also the differences between the two languages under cultural backgrounds.Translators should make use of translation strategies that are in accordance with the target readers'linguistic expression habits and cultural backgrounds,which means they need to make reasonable adaptations on the basis of the main idea of the original text.Therefore,the cross-cultural awareness is particularly important for news English translation.This paper probed into the characteristics of news English translation and cultivation of cross-cultural awareness,and summarized the key points in the process of translation and the strategies to deal with them.The paper is aimed to provide reference for news English translation,so that information could be disseminated in an accurate and efficient way.
