This paper has introduced and analysed the conditions of collapse and roof cave-in of one pedestrian underpass with shallow overburden in Hangzhou.It has proposed the treatment measures and discussed the effects of each measure's implementation.Hence,the paper has summarized the construction experiences and lessons and put forward the suggestions to be adopted and used as references for engineering practices.
