Objective To compare the killing effect of saturated peracetic acid fumigation and vaporized hydrogen peroxide disinfection machine on bacterial spores on different types of media in biosafety levelⅢlaboratory. Methods The carrier quantitative bactericidal test and physical and chemical analysis method were used to observe the effect of two disinfection methods on killing spores of Bacillus subtilis var.niger on different carriers of biosafety levelⅢlaboratory. Results The killing logarithm values of saturated peracetic acid fumigation and vaporization hydrogen peroxide disinfection machine to the contaminated spores of Bacillus subtilis var.niger on the cloth, metal sheets, filter paper, slides and eggshells placed in different positions of biosafety levelⅢlaboratory were all>5.00.Saturated peracetic acid had moderate corrosion on copper and carbon steel sheets, mild corrosion on aluminum sheets, and no corrosion on stainless steel sheets;vaporized hydrogen peroxide disinfection nearly had no corrosion on copper sheets, carbon steel sheets, aluminum sheets and stainless steel sheets. Conclusion The two disinfection methods have good disinfection effect on the surface of different objects. The saturated peracetic acid fumigation method is more corrosive to metal than vaporized hydrogen peroxide.
